 The main purpose of online marketers in uploading videos to their site is to market their product. Videos are useful in generating lots of traffic because they are very effective in attracting people's attention. More traffic means more chances of selling their products. This is what video marketing to online marketers is all about—selling products online.
However, it does not mean that just because you put videos to your sites, people would swarm in like bees and buy what you’re selling. First, your video must be appealing and entertaining, something that would excite them and can relate to. Otherwise, no one will watch it—which means that no one will also spend their time reading your ads because people’s attention span is very short.

Remember, there are a lot of competitors out there. Second, they must be people who are in need of your product. What’s the use of having lots of viewers when they can’t be converted into buyers? In other words, your video must be appealing, interesting and at the same time, must attract the right viewers.
These are the two important things that you need in order to make video marketing more effective for you as online marketer. But how are you going to make your videos appealing and interesting and how are you going to convert your traffics into buyers? These may not be as complicated as you think if you know your target market.
Firstly, identify who they are. Find out what are their needs, desires, hopes, dreams, beliefs, etc. This can be done by doing research. Identifying them is very important because, as said earlier, the main purpose of video marketing is to market your product. It is also difficult to attract your buyers’ attention if you don’t know them.
Once you have identified your target market, you may now consider what kind of video you’re going to make and upload. This is not a difficult part because you already have a background about your target market. Secondly, people are usually fond of stories. Your video would be interesting if it tells a story that stirs up the viewers’ emotions and portrayed by characters that they can relate to.
Again, this is where your knowledge about your target market would be useful. This will help you make stories that are appealing to them. These will also help you know what personalities your characters will portray. Lastly, always consider the quality of your videos. You need not hire professionals, but at least they should appear as ones made by a pro.
Poor quality videos are frowned upon because no matter how beautiful your stories are if they give the viewers a hard time watching them, chances are no one would waste their time watching them. Thus you’ll get nothing from all the time, money and effort you’ve spent. Yes, video marketing is very useful to online marketers but it should be properly utilized.
Again, uploading videos is not enough to make your video marketing profitable. Your videos should attract viewers to ultimately convert them into buyers. Don’t waste your time, start it now.
