Establish A Strong Business Connection In Building Website Traffic

Tags: , , ,

There are many ways of driving traffic to your web site. There are social media, social bookmarking, banner advertising and article marketing to name a few. All has been discussed in my previous articles. What I am about to share with you is an old way of building website traffic but is also effective and targeted.

It has been proven effective in offline marketing. As a matter of fact it can also give you a greater chance of getting a sale or higher click through rate. It’s about establishing a strong business connection with people who are not exactly in the same niche that you’re in, but is somehow related.

This is sometimes referred to by some internet marketers as complementary niche. For example, if you are engaged in dog training, then selling puppies, dog foods and dog training equipment are the niches that are not exactly the same as yours but are very well related. So what does it have to do with building website traffic? Well these people surely have a list of customers.

And if you have good relation with them they can refer their customers to you. To illustrate, let’s say you know someone who is selling puppies and you have a good relationship with this person. When a customer buys a puppy from this person, he or she will definitely look for someone who teaches dog training techniques if he or she can’t or don’t want to do it.

Now, since the seller knows you and has a good relationship with you, he or she can refer the customer to you. This may sound so petty and may seem a slow method of building website traffic, but just imagine how many people you know who are in this business and how many customers they may have.

You’re unknowingly establishing that connection with them that’s very helpful to your business. Before you even know it, you’re already building website traffic that is more targeted and can guarantee you a greater chance of making a sale. Given this idea, it is then necessary that you establish a good relation to people who are engaged in businesses that are complementary to yours.

If you don’t know any or you have a very short list and you want to add more to your list, here’s how to do it. Make use of social media such as facebook and twitter. You can also search them on Google. Once you found them, establish a good relationship with them.

In other words, befriend them. It’s important to bear in mind not to go straight to the point of introducing your purpose. Don’t make it appear that your only purpose is building website traffic for your business. Just enjoy the process of getting to know people for the meantime. It’s also important to be sincere at all times.

It will also help you a lot if you help them with their business too. It goes without saying that you must help them too in building website traffic, because it’s not only you who need it. It’s always a give and take relationship. If you want people to help you, you have to help them as well.

While you’re developing a relationship with these people, work hard to establish the reputation of an expert in your field so that your connections will be proud to recommend you. It’s so hard to refer someone who is not good at all because it will also affect your reputation. Building website traffic is important.

Use every method that is available, especially if it does not cost you anything. Don’t be contented with what you have. Building website traffic is an endless endeavor. So don’t stop.
