This wide range of social networking sites cater to the different interests and purposes of its users. A Social networking site basically offers its users a common ground to meet people and to share their interests. Some sites help in gathering people of the same language, interests, and activities in one social networking site. Other sites have users convene and link them to other people with similar political opinions, professions, or beliefs. Social networking sites also vary in terms of features such as blogging, photo or video sharing or mobile connectivity.

However, many online marketers have seen the potential of expanding their network of possible customers through these social networking sites such as . How? If marketers will join in a social networking site, they can reach out to their potential customers in a fast and more direct manner. Marketers must not wander from different social networking sites without direction. It might turn out that after all the time and effort they exerted, they were actually beating around the wrong bush. It is imperative that marketers study the user base and features of each social networking site. After which, they can choose a site or sites that is best suited for their business.
