Although it is a well known fact that many facebook members register with the hope to sell their product, this motive must however be presented discreetly and not blatantly. Just place yourself in the shoes of your friends.
You’ll surely be annoyed if people just want to make friends with you because they want to sell you something. This is also the same for them. Make sure also that you update your profile regularly. Give fresh information about yourself. Lastly, post your own picture on your profile so that the people you invite and those who want to invite you will at least believe that you’re a real person and not a fictitious one.
This is also in line with the idea that facebook is an online place to socialize. So socialize with your friends on facebook.
