Indeed, online forums have been a good venue for marketers to further promote their businesses without directly selling it to the public. Selling in these sites is also subtle unless you are one of those sales-starved marketers who just want to earn money without giving out something valuable such as informative forum posts.
Don’t join online forums only to sell your products. Be there in order to share and learn at the same time. People would really value you knowledge especially if you are one of those well-established internet marketers who could be a great help to newbies. For first time internet marketers who are new to online forums, it would really be a great help if you learn tips in forum marketing.

There are many dos and don’ts to keep in mind if you really want productive forum marketing. Doing the wrong moves in online forums can affect the results that you would be getting. Like in the case of affiliates who spam discussions sites, they get banned from joining forums and they end up getting no leads.

One good way of possibly getting the leads you need is to join forum threads that have been viewed the most times. The more views it got, the better it is for you to participate in.
However, before dropping a line, first you have to be sure that you have something sensible to contribute in the discussion. Join the discussion only when you are knowledgeable of the topic. If not, then you go find topics that are familiar to you and that you have something to say about.
As mentioned earlier, online forums are intended to foster a community of affiliates working and learning together, so don’t ever start an argument in the forum sites. Avoid giving away nasty comments so as not to spark up any conflict among members. Have your signature in top forums online, do the posting right, and generate leads.
