We all know that email marketing remains to be one of the best ways to promote any online business. Why? Simply because it’s more personal than just posting banner advertisements everywhere on the net. You can always add a more personal touch when you create email newsletters because in here, you get to “talk” directly to your readers slash potential customers.
I know that there are many other methods of online marketing mushrooming all over the net these days that’s why some people are saying that email marketing is quite outdated. Well, I just don’t agree. That’s complete bollocks. Email marketing will remain and will continue to be one of the best methods of establishing relationships with our target market.

Going back, many online marketers create email newsletters as part of their email marketing campaign. Ezine publishing is really a good way to deliver new information on topics related to the niche you are in. If you are into the dog training business, then perhaps you can write ezines (or electronic magazines) about the new training methods applicable to certain dog breeds.
Or you can talk about simple training tips that will be very useful to your subscribers. If you make sure that you have great information in store, I am sure that more people will subscribe to email newsletters such as yours. Wouldn’t it be more inspiring to create email newsletters knowing that your subscribers are actually looking forward to receiving your updates every week? Most internet users out there love freebies.
Once you have satisfied their discriminating taste for good information, you are in for a better and perhaps longer business or even personal relationships with them. However, you have to keep in mind that every time you create email newsletters, you must not do hard selling. People hate sales pitches.
They don’t want to be told what to buy and when to buy it. I would rather advise that you concentrate on providing free content because it won’t be for long that these same people would ask to buy from you. I mean, they won’t really ask you literally to sell something to them, but in a way, they will crave for more information from you.
That is the time that you offer them something that they can’t refuse, without taking advantage of their vulnerability of course. This might put your relationship in jeopardy. Just give them something reasonable for them to buy. Something of greater value and more than just the free contents that you have been giving them.
This is what you call – creating the need. Additionally, when you create email newsletters, make sure that you come up with enticing monthly promotions. Having such activity will encourage your subscribers to participate in whatever promotions you will have for the month. Along with this, you must be ready to give out prizes, gift coupons, or discounts to them.
Depending on your niche, think of ways that would excite your readers and make them participate. You don’t really have to come up with an extravagant prize. Just be creative enough but remember that in whatever you do, put the end in mind. That means, you lead them to the result (good product sales) that you want to achieve without ripping off their pockets.
