In time, the respondents of these emails became wiser and cynical towards email marketing and have developed a subconscious habit of deleting emails coming from people they don’t know. The first thing you should consider if you are thinking of email marketing as an option for your online business is the list.
A good quality list is well targeted, specifically to your internet niche market. The best way to get this kind of list is to have an opt-in in your website where people who are genuinely interested about your products or services could sign up for your newsletters, advertisements, and other email marketing collateral.
These are already your warm online leads. Do diligent follow ups and subtle but firm prodding for them to get your online product. Include an option for your subscribers to ‘Unsubscribe’ from your mailing list should they change their minds about your product. Give them the choice and the control over the whole situation because spams in general will not give them this kind of option.
Most importantly, work on the content of your materials. We all know that content is every thing. Make it interesting, catchy and would easily capture the attention of your targeted market. Appeal to their emotions and work your way through. Formulate your spiel carefully. Avoid the usual clichés, outdated and obsolete sales pitches and boring lines.
Set up a real situation and inject the benefits and advantages of your product in that certain situation. Do subtle and strategic online products promotion. With these in mind, you can launch your email marketing campaign and see how your target market would react. Closely monitor your open rate as well as your click through rates.
Employ different strategies and put them to test and see which is the most effective and then perfect it. You can even have a patent for your style so that others will not copy or steal it from you. Email marketing is a very effective and cost efficient way to promote products online.
Just make sure your materials don’t look like spam or else its destination would be certain.
