They say that creating an eBook can give you lots of money. It can even make you rich. You believed this. And so you created your own. You give everything in writing it. Now you’re done creating it. However, you haven’t earned any income from it, and if ever you did, it’s not much.
You are now starting to doubt whether it is indeed profitable, because in your case, this doesn’t seem to be true at all. We’ll, creating and selling e-Books is indeed profitable if only you’re able to sell it to many people. It’s also true that many people have become rich by just writing and selling eBooks.

If this is not true to you, don’t lose hope. It’s not yet too late. You can still catch up. Let’s examine and analyze together what seems to be the problem why you’re not getting a sale with your eBook after all this time. Let me ask you. Have you ever researched your topic before writing it? This includes finding out whether there are people who are interested in it.
Maybe the topic that you’ve chosen has no market at all, because nobody is ever interested in it. If you haven’t done this, visit clickbank.com, amazons.com, magazines.com, etc. In these sites you’ll know what’s selling and what’s not. Then you’ll at least have an idea whether there are people who will possibly buy your eBook.
If you’ve done this, then let’s move on. Maybe you have many competitors in the niche you’ve chosen. If you overlooked this fact, then this might be the reason. In order to know this, visit google adwords to see if you have indeed competitors in your niche and don’t forget also to determine their number.
Usually, it’s hard to market your eBook if you have many competitors in the niche you’ve chosen, especially if your competitors are way ahead of you and you’re just a newbie. If you really want to pursue this niche and stand out from the rest at the same time, then your eBook must be different from the rest, one that is more valuable and offers new solution that you’re competitors don’t have.
Lastly, how do you market it? Are you selling it through your own website, through your affiliates, or both? If you’re promoting it through your website, maybe you have so little traffic. Or if you have lots of traffics, maybe they’re not so targeted. If you’re promoting it through your website, make sure that you have targeted website traffics.
Use also searchable keywords in your e-Book’s title. Again, make use of google adwords or wordtracker to find searchable keywords. It’s also helpful if you get the help of affiliates. They will help you a lot in selling your eBook. These are just some of the possible reasons why you’re not getting a sale with your eBook.
Although simple and most common, yet you may have failed to consider especially if you’re just a newbie. Of course, there are other possible reasons. To be sure, don’t underestimate things no matter how trivial for these can cause your failure. To know more about writing eBooks and making it more profitable, read a lot and consider the advice of successful people.
Surely you’ll learn something from them. Most of all learn from your mistakes. There’s no better teacher than your own experience.
