Selling Affiliate Products Is A Easy Way To Start Online

power of Google to make money online.
*******************************************************************
Many have asked me if they should start
selling affiliate products first since they are
newbies in internet marketing.
A good question.
One of the good things, and it is an advantage
if I do say so myself, is that in selling affiliate
products you can do so without the need to
really have any sales experience necessary.
At the same time you don't really have to do
a lot in terms of materials to use.
This is because the merchant provider will
typically have everything set up for your use.
This means that you have ready access to
their marketing resources including but not
limited to: email ad copies, an autoresponder
series if they have it, a range of banners and
text links that you can personalize to fit your
needs.
You also get video and/or audio clips that you
use to enhance.
The cost you may incur is the cost of setting
up your site and maybe advertising to get
people to go to your site so they can find
the affiliate product you're selling.
*******************************************************************
The first thing you need to do is to find a product
or products for you to promote.
In order to do this, select a niche market first.
A niche market is that segment of the whole
online market that you want to focus on.
See what their needs, wants and motivations
to buy are and try to look for products that will
match their requirements.
Make a list of affiliate products in every niche
market you're interested in entering into.
You can simply go and do online searches
but that may be counter-productive.
I suggest going through affiliate directories.
They have lists of merchants and products
that may fit your needs.
What's more the very good ones also screen
their members so you know they are good and
will pay you on time.
And by payment I mean your commissions.
Look at how each affiliate program you're looking
into structure their commissions.
Commissions can range anywhere between 5%
to as high as 90%.
You want to get a commission that is worth
it for you to take the time to promote.
And even when you find an affiliate program
with a good commission structure you also
need to take a look as to how you will be paid.
How will the merchant pay you? The good ones
are those that go through PayPal or via check.
Often it will be the affiliate directories that will
take care of paying you on behalf of the merchant.
Clickbank for example will handle paying you
your commissions via check once you reach
a certain amount threshold.
No need to deal with the merchant in this case.
That being said it won't do you any good if after
you send a customer to the merchant they wind
up not buying at all because they didn't like the
merchant's sales page.
Why do you need to see it?
Because this is the page that will be seen by
the potential customers before they buy.
They may have been almost ready to buy just
from your own advertising but they can still be
turned off my the merchant's own sales page.
Check for ease of reading and navigation as
well as pizazz and relevant information.
*******************************************************************
Of course a disadvantage of affiliate marketing
is the fact that you won't be making any list
building anytime soon because you're simply
sending potential customers right in through.
That being said you can have them sign up
to your list first before you send them to the
merchant's sales page.
You can have a landing page first that they
sign up first before they get sent on through.
Of course this should be optional because you
don't want them to not proceed at all if they
feel that they are forced to sign-up in order to
buy a product.
What you can do is perhaps offer your own
free product so they are more likely to sign-up
because they are getting something in return.
You can call it a bribe but you know what, it
works and many internet marketers use that
method so you can too.
And you can also help leverage your site by
using targeted online advertising.
See how you can do it here.
Look around before you jump head in first.
Your online success is waiting for you.
To your success,
