Putting Together Your Online Business
Want to learn the secrets
about internet niche marketing
and making money online?
Then visit me here.
************************************************************
I was online the other day
and while I was idly browsing
different sites I thought about
just how much the internet
has changed our lives.
This is especially true when
we talk about the way we do
business.
Online commerce is the trend
and it doesn't show signs of
slowing down.
That's why so many of us
jump at the chance to be
part of this universe if you will.
I should know, I'm one of them
and then again so are you.
Selling stuff online looks easy
but it does take some work.
The past few times I talked
about the importance of
actually knowing what your
niche market niche will be
and knowing what your
customers are looking for.
Now I'm going to talk about
actually starting up your
online virtual real estate
empire.
What do you need to know
you ask?
Plenty and then some
depending on your business'
purpose and market.
You're going to need a few
tools in order to make things
go smoothly from the get go.
************************************************************
Parse the legal language
Let's face it any business,
be it the brick and mortar
kind or the online kind, has
to go through legal hoops
in order to become one.
Patents, trademarks and
copyrights, otherwise known
as intellectual property, have
a major effect on every online
businesses.
Understanding internet law is
also a good thing, especially
when setting up your domain
name which I will talk about
later.
You can probably survive
without having to hire an
attorney but I would
recommend you consult
one just to be on the safe
side.
Even if you go through it alone,
if there is something that you
are not clear about get
professional assistance.
************************************************************
Domain name and Web hosting
It's an integral part of any
online business. It is one
way for your customers to
find and remember you.
If you're lucky you may get
the domain you want right
off the bat but more than
likely you may need to be
a little creative in domain
names.
If you sell toys then a good
domain name would be
"toys.com" but since it is
already taken by toy retailer
giant ToysRUs, you would
need to create another name
that is catchy yet easy to
remember.
For example you can do
"mytoystore.com" instead.
And when you are looking for
a web host to host your site
look for one that:
is reliable
has support personnel
access 24/7
has big server hard drive
space
has high allowable data
transfer rate
is secured
************************************************************
Your site
The things you need would to
set up your site will depend
on whether or not you'll be
designing your site yourself
or having someone else
design it for you.
At the very least you'll need:
experience and /or training
in Web design
a good computer with plenty
of RAM and hard drive space
a good web and graphics
design software
And since you're more than
likely be selling your product
from your site you'll also need:
a merchant account like
Paypal so you can get paid
shopping cart software for
your customers to make
orders
inventory tracking
************************************************************
Once you have your online
business up and running
promoting it would be
your next target.
This is so you get plenty of
traffic so that you get the
sales that you want and
need.
After all, your website is of
little use to you if no one
uses or visits it.
I'll share with you how you
can drive traffic to your site.
Drop by and I'll tell you how.
Get the resources to create
your OWN virtual realty empire
and dominate your niche.
To your online success,
