Keyword Research Tools You Can Use
Keywords are an important element in ranking
up your site in the search engine results.

Rank your site to give yourself more exposure
so your prospective customers find you.
*********************************************************************
Like I mentioned above, the use of keywords
a major consideration in search engine
optimization.
When picking a keyword(s) or keyword phrase
you need to pick the ones that are frequently
searched for and which is in high demand.
However, try to pick the ones that have
not yet been used by a lot of other websites
meaning that the competition for the keywords
is low.
This is because if there's high competition,
even if you pick the right keywords it will
still be difficult for your site to rank.
So how do you know which keywords are
good to use and are low in competition.
By using keyword search engines and there
are a number of keyword research tools available
for you to use in finding those keywords.
********************************************************************
Wordtracker has a free keyword tool that
you can use.
You simply enter the word that you think
will be used by your customers and the
tool will generate the top 100 keywords
and/or keyword phrases that include your
search term along with the number of searches
using that keyword.
It won't give you a per month search result
nor will it tell you just how competitive that
keyword(s) is.
Overture (now Yahoo! Search Marketing)
is another keyword suggestion tool you
can use.
You may need to go into the whole process
of signing up for the advertising but no need
to worry.
The keyword tool is in the second step so
you can use it without really having to fully
sign up for the whole thing.
Much like the free wordtracker tool, the one
at Yahoo! will give you number of searches
that occurred for each related keyword or
keyword phrase for the past month.
The one that I use, and I think a lot of others
do as well is the Google Adwords Keyword
Search Tool.
You can do a search using a word or phrase
or even a website using the URL.
Features of this tool include:
1. Sorting the results of your desired keyword
search by relevance, competition, global or
monthly searches, average CPC, ad share,
or search share.
2. Easy keyword manipulation where you
can select a few keywords here and there
or add them all at once.
3. Searches for keywords present even in
a web page URL specified by your search.
It can also expand your keyword search
even further to include those pages that
are linked to or from the original URL page.
4. More keyword results are generated based
on regularly updated usage statistics database.
This helps you to get new keywords or phrases.
The three tools I have mentioned above are
by no means the only keyword search tools
available but they are the ones that are typically
used by a lot of internet marketers, especially
the Google one.
Many also use Wordtracker but the premium
paid one instead of the free one.
Which ever one you pick, they can help
you pick the right keywords that you can
use in your site to make it search engine
friendly so your site gets ranked up.
