When you started in the
internet marketing business
you became an affiliate.
Not a bad idea. Many internet
marketers started that way.
The product is already there
and you just needed to sell
the product and earn your
commission.
Basically, it's a way for you
to make money while you
finish your own thing.
But sooner or later, hopefully
sooner, you have to have your
own product to sell.
Why? Because there are
certain advantages to having
your own product.
Well the most obvious one
is the fact that you are now
the one who will be attracting
affiliates, not you being an
affiliate.
This means you control how
much you want to sell your
product for, what the sales
copy looks like, and the
percentage of commission
you give - among others.
Other than that, you can also
use your own product as a
barter item with other internet
marketers in exchange for
what they have to offer.
And even if you are still doing
affiliate selling, you can offer
your own product as a bonus
to entice people to not only
buy the product you are
promoting but to also add
them to your email list.
And the fact that you have
a product to sell gives you
added credibility.
As to what product you are
going to create do this.
Answer this question:
*What problems does your
target market have?*
People have problems. And
since they have problems
they look for solutions.
And they want those
solutions NOW.
Once you have an idea as
to what problem(s) your
market has then you can
create a product that can
give solutions to those
problems now.
And if you are not into
creating your product
yourself there are a myriad
of sites out there where
you can buy full resale
rights to already created
products.
This means that you can
pass off the product as
yours and as far as your
customers and affiliates
are concerned you
created the product.
And like I mentioned earlier,
you can now attract affiliates
to sell your products.
You can advertise in forums
or in ezines.
Clickbank is one place where
you can have access to a
number of affiliates ready
and willing to sell your
products for you.
At the end of the day, the
most important reason to
have your own product is
the fact that your product
represents you.
Basically, your product(s) is
the best calling card you can
ever have.
And once people see that
what you have created is
worth it in terms of content
and quality, they will start
to look up to you for more
of the same.
